We aren’t “governed” by location though – in the 21st century our office is where the wifi is!
This week I have a privilege of working with the executive #Leadership team of a multimillion dollar #retail success headquartered in Cairns. Yesterday, as I spoke of #mindfulness, I asked the question:
“How often, do you check in with your staff and ask them how they have contributed towards the organisational strategic plan in the past week/month?”
You see part of being a #MindfulLeader is being focused on the present, being able to see where we are HERE & NOW. If we don’t take the time to check that we, being everyone in the organisation is heading in the same direction how will we know when we need to guide & #engage team members back on course?
Totally addicted to BUSY
A Buddhist monk who was a senior member of His Holiness Dalai Lama’s contingent taught me a lesson I have never forgotten.
Given a private audience of 15 minutes with him, I graciously thanked him acknowledging how busy he must be. In that moment, he held my hand, looked me in the eye and said: “child, I am here with you, listening to you, seeing you, there is no busy.”
It was a privilege to present tips on how to manage emotional hijacks and build resilience at the 15th year anniversary of #GENOS– Emotional Intelligence.
